From the East

Brothers,

We need your help.  As of now we have such an influx of new brothers and petitioners that we need help teaching catechism, working programs, and chairing committees.  Our officers are being stretched thin and any assistance would be appreciated.

As of our last meeting we have passed, unanimously, a potential dues increase for any brothers 65 years old and younger.  We will hold a separate vote to permanent implement this change in August so please e-mail the lodge for more information.  This vote will now allow us to be 100% solvent and fix all of our problems.  As per the constitution you will receive a separate letter with the by-laws, full explanation, and also proposed budget for next year.

Things changes will only strengthen our programs and our abilities to connect with the community.  Our scotch tasting was a great opportunity to get to meet some newer brothers and it was asked of us to write an article about it for the “free state free mason.”  We have another great program coming up on the 28th of May when all five Montgomery County lodges are coming together for a table lodge.  Cost is $30 per person and we will be serving salad, prime rib, potato, and another vegtable.  Wine will be included in the price as well and all attendees get a complimentary “cannon.”  Those who are interest MUST reserve by May 14th.  Please see the inside article on a feature regarding our presentation schedule and upcoming events.

Fraternally, Geoff Newman WM

Communciations

As a Brother of our lodge I have asked the Worshipful Master if I can help our fraternity increase communications among the brethren. With his blessing I will be supporting the lodge by increasing the awareness of our meetings, activities, and much more throughout the year. If you have ideas to help this cause or I have the wrong contact information please feel free to drop me a line any time. Please come support your lodge and help make 2013 a memorable year!
